Willie Walker

There are several guys named Willie Walker who recorded soul music and I hope to feature more of them in later pages on this archive. But today I want to feature perhaps the rarest of them who only recorded this one 45 that I'm aware of. This Willie has a fine light tenor voice, melodic and well phrased as well with some particularly impressive falsetto touches. The backing of "Tell Me Baby It's Gonna Be Alright" is in the classic deep soul style, arpeggio guitar, tasteful organ and some well arranged horns. I particualry like the way the song builds and builds to a fortissimo climax. Great! The top side is a pleasant beat ballad. As you can see from the Billboard advert the obscure Eutor records were based in Atlanta.
