Lee Tracey

This song by the obscure Lee Tracey is a unknow gem. It is a fine version of a number initially recorded by the wonderful Garnett Mimms on his “Cry Baby” LP but never released on a 45. Tracey maybe can’t bring as much emotional depth to the song as Mimms did but it is still a very worthy effort. The song itself a real killer.

New York label Mr Maestro Inc is almost as obscure as Tracey is  – but the name of Leo McCorkle as co-producer should not be over looked.
