Mr Pride hasn't had any exposure at all as far as I know - but hopefully this page will deal with that omission. Ford's big voice, full of gospel touches and with enough power to spare drives through this classically structured 12/8 ballad like a knife through butter. Fantastic falsetto bursts too. Great horn support over a pumping piano and some lovely arpeggio guitar plus a gently cooing female chorus make this a New York track to treasure. The rocking R & B styled flip is well worth listening to as well.
