Metros
I’ve written before about the splendid discs that have come out of the Grits ‘N’ Gravy studios in Jackson, MS operated by Ed & Cliff Tho9mas and Bob McRee – and here’s another one. If You Can Feel is a very fine ballad, verging on deep soul, written by Ed Thomas and sung by a duo called the Metros, who have no connection with any of the other groups of that name. Love the gruff interplay of the voices and the classic southern soul setting of the arrangement. Can’t get enough of that strange genre the male duo! Flip is more uptempo and is a solo plus male group harmony vocals.
Can anybody supply any details of just who these fine singers are?
