She don't love me ~ BROWNFIELD 1034

Arthur Noiel

Texan Arthur Noiel recorded with Louis Howard but had only this one 45 under his own name. While the driving “It’ll Make You Holler”, which bears an uncanny relationship to “Stand By Me” in its chord structure, has attracted some attention from the more enlightened dance fans, the ballad flip seems to have been totally overlooked. ListenShe Don’t Love Me is a tastefully melodic number in which Arthur sounds totally relaxed and at home – nice rap in the middle too. The horn rich band behind him could well be Louis Howard’s. The Brownfield label came from Fort Worth.

UPDATE ~ My freind Greg Burgess has written with info on Arthur. Sadly he passed away in 2002. Greg gives the full details as "Arthur Lee Noiel born Harrison County, Texas 7th January 1937 died Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington 27th September 2002."

I'm very grateful to him for all his efforts.
