Billy Nitro
As far as I’m aware this is the only disc by West Coast singer Billy
Nitro. A long time cult deep item it’s value has risen as more and
more people have become aware of it’s existence. And no wonder as it’s
a very fine record indeed. I think the chord structure of 
As
Sweet As Your Love For Me is right in the pocket and the arrangement, particularly
the horns and the guitarist (Arthur “Sleepy” Wright?), fits the
mood perfectly. Billy’s vocal may not be the grittiest but his sense
of timing is spot on and he invests the lyric with real feeling. What more
could you ask for?
