Jimmy Pace
Pace’s real name was Jimmy Durden who came from New York, but he ventured down south to visit Atlanta, GA producer/label owner Bill Haney having heard of him on the R & B grapevine. Of the 3 songs that Haney cut on him, the strutting Stop My Heart From Crying with an excellent horn arrangement was by far the best. This appeared as Chant 502 credited to Jimmy Pace, but Durden soon returned to the Big Apple losing all contact with Haney.
Note ~ You can find "Stop my heart from crying" on the Kent UK CD "Bill Haney's Atlanta Southern Soul Brotherhood 2".
