Faith White
Another one-off which really ought to be better known is this very gospelly big city ballad from Faith White. Johnny Pate’s fine arrangement is just right, especially the piano (conductor Neal Creque?) and Faith’s demonstrative vocal floats on top very nicely. Was this cut in Chicago? Could be – although Cincinnati is another alternative.
