Paula West
Where Do I Go From Here is a little known gem from Washington DC that deserves a wider audience. After a lengthy rap Paula shows her good rhythmic sense and tender tone to good effect, over a backdrop of horns and strings. The classic chord changes in the song are down to that talented writer/musician/producer Dicky Williams. The tiny Nale label was owned by the late Nathan Loube who worked in the record business in DC for many years.
Note ~ I don't think this artist is anything to do with the West Coast jazz singer who is making quire a name for herself. Can anybody confirm?
